Have you ever thought about a career in the Renewable and Subsea Engineering industry and not known where to start? Do you want to learn in-demand skills and have a challenging and exciting future in the energy sector? If you’re looking to earn while you learn too, this Plate Welder apprenticeship is for you.
This advanced apprenticeship standard is designed to teach you how to manually weld plate and structural components to high standards of quality. This will involve fabrication, construction or repair of fabricated plate assemblies, extrusions and structural components (e.g. Channel, H-Beams or I-Beams) often used to fabricate larger components and assemblies.
On this apprenticeship, you’ll gain workplace-specific knowledge, skills and behaviours relevant to the welding industry, alongside delivery at the Newcastle College Energy Academy to teach you the fundamental knowledge and skills you’ll need within the workplace.
